This territory of the Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es-Atlantiques also has an ancestral pastoral culture. Its mountains have always been criss-crossed by shepherds and their flocks in summer, especially in the Bar\u00e9tous valley where, as every 3rd weekend in September in the village of Aramits, 200 metres from the campsite, the Shepherds’ Festival is celebrated to celebrate the return of the shepherds and their flocks in a joyful atmosphere: traditional meals, songs, dances?<\/p>\n

Live 4 days with the rhythm of bells ringing, traditional songs, folk dances, producers’ market and closed by the famous shepherd’s dog competition…<\/p>\n
